Amber - the perfect gift for Valentine's Day

Wouldn't it be great if people gave themselves amber on the occasion of Valentine's Day? It's ideal, especially as amber is unique, there is no other nugget like it - just like the people we love: they are also special and unique to us.

„Each piece of amber is different, with the whisper of a prehistoric forest and the rays of the sun enchanted in each. In an appropriately selected setting, each becomes even more unique, making it the perfect gift for a loved one who for us is the most special person in the world, so they deserve a special gift,” says designer Monika Blaszkowska. She herself became interested in amber quite recently and immediately fell in love with it. So much so that she would love to draw the attention of the whole world to its qualities, such as its uniqueness, locality and its natural beauty manifested in its many colour varieties, but above all in the modern objects that are currently created using this fossilised resin.

Hence her idea of „amber education”, which she launched with an unusual exhibition at the Kliff Shopping Centre in Gdynia, where her paintings and amber furniture complement the display of a showroom offering bedroom furniture. „The bedroom is the most intimate place in the house, where we take special care to create a good aura. It will be ensured not only by elegant furniture and a comfortable mattress, but also by utilitarian objects made of amber, which not only emanates warm light, but also improves the air quality thanks to negative ionisation”. - convinces the designer.

This unusual exhibition is the beginning of a campaign to disenchant amber under the slogan Amber Love. „I believe that by showing beautiful objects made of amber, I will contribute to both Poles and tourists appreciating its value, loving it anew and soon making amber gifts for each other,” she convinces. At present, the exhibition features mainly amber paintings, with other utilitarian items to appear in the future and, of course, jewellery - but not the traditional kind, but modern jewellery with a unique design, created by the best designers. „The potential inherent in amber is enormous and I intend to continue to exploit it, thus contributing to its modern image.” - is Monika Blaszkowska's goal.
