The amber portal amber.com.pl has been in existence since March 2007 and for almost two decades it has remained the most important and only medium in Poland entirely devoted to Baltic amber and artistic jewellery. Its originator and owner is the company BORUNI belonging to Mikolajczyki Amber Group, which has specialised in the sale of high-quality jewellery and amber products for many years.

The portal was born out of the need to create a reliable source of information about amber - its origin, history, applications and significance in contemporary design. Since its inception, the editorial team has ensured the highest level of content for the publication, cooperating with recognised representatives of the amber, museum and scientific communities, as well as with trade organisations, cultural institutions and organisers of major events.

Thanks to the systematic work of the editorial team, the portal has become not only a reliable source of information about amber, but also an indispensable archive of knowledge about the amber industry, its history and contemporary trends. It is the only private portal in Poland that documents almost two decades of development in the field - from events and exhibitions to profiles of artists and jewellery designers.

The activities of amber.com.pl have been repeatedly recognised - Portal owner Tomasz Mikołajczyk i Editor-in-Chief Anna Sado were honoured, among others, with the Medals of the Mayor of the City of Gdansk and the Amber of the Year titles awarded by the International Amber Association.
