Amber organisations
Poland is currently Europe's largest producer of Baltic amber products, so the issues of broadly defined promotion of this stone and popularisation of knowledge about it, protection of the interests of producers and purchasers are among the most important tasks of national and international organisations operating here.
World Amber Council
The World Amber Council is a consultative and advisory body for creating a coherent concept for the promotion of amber, including the implementation of the „Gdańsk – World Capital of Amber” programme, and the development of amber craftsmanship, an industry particularly developed in the Gdańsk area.

National Amber Chamber of Commerce
The National Chamber of Amber, based in Gdańsk, is an organisation that brings together Polish companies involved in the design and creation of artistic products and the extraction of Baltic amber.

International Amber Association
The International Amber Association was founded in Gdańsk in 1996 by a group of amber enthusiasts. The main aims of the IAA are the promotion of amber and amber artisans, the dissemination of knowledge about amber and its qualities, and the exchange of contacts and collective problem-solving within the industry.
