The award was given for its innovative design lines and novel sales format, but the company's previous achievements were also taken into account. And these are undoubtedly impressive! The origins of the Lewanowicz company date back to the late 1980s. After 10 years of operating in Spain, the company's headquarters were moved to Poland, from where the jewellery is exported to many countries worldwide. The brand quickly made its mark on the Polish market – mainly thanks to original ideas, vibrant colours, intricate forms, and often non-standard materials – gaining a circle of loyal female customers.

For Ewa Wołk-Lewanowicz, who designs jewellery for the company, form and colour are paramount. „I combine colour with material, matching them to an outfit and the person. I believe that just as in interior design, jewellery also requires an analysis of the recipient's personality,” she explains the reasons for the popularity of the jewellery that bears her name. Coloured gemstones are also of great importance – the company focuses primarily on natural ones, with cuts that further enhance their beauty. „My designing mainly involves travelling all over the world, even to exotic places like Brazil, India or Nepal, and searching for interesting raw materials. Once I hold them in my hands, an idea is born as to how to combine them. And when I see the whole piece, I know what type of woman in which country it will suit,” says the designer.

Although women from different countries around the world are fans of this brand's jewellery, the designer feels closest to the spirited Polish women. With them in mind, she prepares short series three times a year, „so that ladies don't meet wearing the same jewellery and feel a sense of uniqueness”.

Not only are Lewanowicz's ornaments unique, but so is the newly opened boutique in Warsaw at Plac Grzybowski – it's a small café that sells jewellery, where the owners plan to organise various cultural and social events in the future.
