And since God created her, and the devil possessed her,
She will be, from now on and forever, both sinful and holy.,
Treacherous and faithful, and good and bad,
And joy and despair, and a smile and a tear…
I am angel and demon, and phantom and miracle,
And a peak above the clouds, and a bottomless chasm.
Beginning and end…

„We wanted a light topic, far removed from the philosophical ones that have been accompanying us lately, which is why ‘5 Elements WOMAN’ gained widespread acceptance. It hides both the beauty and mystery of women, but also references to fashion and playing with fashion,” explained Andrzej Kupniewski, a member of the Programme Council. In the regulations, the organiser does not impose restrictions apart from the necessity of using precious metals. For the last two years, participants could use any materials, and the organisers on behalf of STFZ explained this by their desire to open the competition to new participants who have ideas but do not always have sufficiently mastered goldsmithing techniques. So where does this change come from? „The voices of supporters of quality of workmanship prevailed. We are open to various proposals for changes, which is why this year's version of the regulations is probably not yet final,” says Marcin Tymiński, president of the Association of Goldsmiths' Form Creators.
All individuals and companies who submit their works along with a completed entry form to the exhibition curator, Radosław Wójcik, between 5-30 May 2014, can participate in the competition. The jury, consisting of: Maciej Zień – fashion designer; Anna Sado – editor of amber.com.pl portal; Monika Szpatowicz – representative of the Art Gallery in Legnica; Joanna Bijok – representative of the International Trade Centre; Danuta Czapnik – goldsmith artist, representative of the Association of Goldsmiths, will evaluate the works and award the prizes stipulated in the regulations (monetary, in-kind, and vouchers for tools or materials). The results will be announced to the public on 3 October during the Złoto Srebro Czas fair. The post-competition exhibition will also be presented there. The organisers – the Association of Goldsmiths and the International Trade Centre – invite you to participate in the competition.
