The finalists of the Championship from Jantarnego (RU), Gdynia, Helu, Sztutowo, Dębek, Krynica Morska and Jantar will have the task of picking up the amber from the sea with a pickaxe and searching for as much amber as possible in the sand on the beach. „We prepared about 150 kilograms of amber” – said to the portal amber.com.pl Ryszard Goliszek. The winners of the elimination will enter the final, which will be held in the categories of juniors, seniors and VIPs. Among the latter, the Senate Marshal Bogdan Borusewicz, actor Grzegorz Wąs, actors Andrzej Zaorski and Marcin Troński have already announced their participation.
Traditionally, the organizers have already prepared a so-called educational trail, part of which will be dedicated to amber. Information will be posted on special boards placed on the beach, including about how amber was formed and how inclusions formed within it. There will also be a „Enchanted World in Inclusion” competition, which will be led by Dr. Elżbieta Sontag from the Museum of Inclusion in Bursztyn UG. The program of the XII World Championship in Amber Poławianki also includes numerous concerts, competitions, and fun for children.
