The form of the accompanying event has been refreshed - it will now be held under the slogan AMBERIF Vibes and will present amber in a modern edition. The main points of the event will be the award ceremony of the competitions dedicated to amber - the Amberif Design Award and Amberif Selection - as well as a fashion and jewellery show traditionally prepared by creative designer duos, the organisers inform.
Amberif Design Award is a competition promoting Baltic amber as an interesting means of artistic expression. This year's edition was held under the motto „Symbol of hope” - Both the theme and the formula of the competition proved interesting to 229 artists from 32 countries around the world, who submitted a record number of 295 works. The international jury shortlisted 25 works for exhibition and awarded prizes and distinctions.
In the competition AMBERIF SELECTION - held since 1995 under the name Mercurius Gedanensis - whose aim is the consistent promotion of above-standard functional, technological and stylistic solutions, awards are given to the best designed and masterfully made jewellery using Baltic amber.
The gala will be honoured with a fashion and jewellery show. On the catwalk, we will see, among others, top models: Marta Pałucka, Osi Ugonoh, Żaklina Ta Dinh and Klaudia Chojnacka. Their extraordinary beauty will be highlighted by outfits and dazzled by the amber gleam of jewellery by renowned Polish designers:

The gala will be hosted by Malwina Wędzikowska, TV presenter, stylist, set and costume designer, currently working for TVN, whose mother Ewa Wędzikowska was awarded the Grand Prix in the Elektronos competition in 2008, now called the Amberif Design Award. The event will be honoured by a concert by Mela Koteluk - a singer performing music on the borderline between rock and pop artist, winner of five Fryderyk statuettes, including for artist and debut in 2013. Lately, Mela Koteluk has been somewhat less active on stage, so AMBERIF Vibes will be a unique opportunity to hear her most acclaimed compositions.
AMBERIF Vibes is the artistic culmination of the first day of the International Amber and Jewellery Fair AMBERIF SPRING 2024, which will be hosted in the AMBEREXPO halls from 21 to 23 March 2024. The spring edition is typically industry-specific, so Thursday's gala will be the only opportunity to become part of the fascinating world of amber, the organisers encourage.
