The nearly 1,000 m² modern exhibition features more than a thousand unique exhibits. From natural lumps with inclusions from 40 million years ago, in which time has stopped insects, plant fragments and drops of resin, to an amber forest that transports visitors to a prehistoric world when the Baltic Sea was just being born.
In the rooms that follow, amber tells other stories - about ancient amber masters not only from Gdansk, about its importance in art, religion and medicine, about the Amber Chamber, which has become a legend, and about contemporary artists who find an endless source of inspiration in amber.

This museum combines science with emotion. It shows amber not only as a jewellery raw material, but also as a testimony to life millions of years ago, a time capsule that still delights with its uniqueness. Baltic amber is shown here in all its richness of colour and form - from honey and golden to milky, red and even greenish hues.
The Great Mill, restored with extraordinary attention to detail, creates a unique scene for this story. The old walls, once throbbing with the rhythm of the querns and the waters of the Radunia, today pulsate with the light of amber. Past and present meet here in perfect harmony - as in the stone itself, which has matured in the ground for millions of years, only to shine again in the light.
The Amber Museum in Gdańsk is a place that allows you to see, touch and understand why amber has fascinated people for centuries - from ancient merchants to contemporary artists. It is not just an exhibition, but an experience - an encounter with nature, history and art in one.
