The international jury, comprised of Christophe Burger – Jewellery designer, Colmar, France (Chair); Katarzyna RzehakInstitute of Industrial Design, Warsaw; Mariusz Gliwiński Jewellery designer, Sopot; Zbigniew Kraskaexhibition curator, Legnica and Wim Vandekerckhove – owner of a jewellery gallery, Ghent, Belgium awarded the following prizes:

GRAND PRIZE funded by the Mayor of Gdańsk Paweł Adamowicz, £10,000 for Gackowski's Sari From Międzychód for a FLUO ring

A minimalist combination of two very different materials. Their confrontation creates a ring that is strong in its form, both timeless and contemporary. The yellow colour and the understated setting express sheer joy, with the dynamic shape of the amber as a natural extension of this.

AMBER AWARD sponsored by the International Amber Association 2 kg of amber for Emilia Kohut From Gdynia for a ring

An interesting development of the ring concept. The jury appreciated the use of amber as a special tactile medium. This reflected the aspect of pleasure contained within the competition's slogan.

SILVER AWARD 1 kg of silver for Peter Tolkien from Gdynia

Another change of perspective. The playfulness of this work brings to mind the innocent child hidden within each of us.

The jury decided to also award commendations relating to the associations evoked by the slogan „ENJOY”. The jury selected the following 12 further entries for publication in the Amberif 2012 Trade Fair catalogue and for the exhibition:
