Aleksander Gliwinski at Satisfashion Roma

Jewellery and outfit must work together 100 per cent, especially at fashion shows, says jewellery designer Aleksander Gliwinski, a participant in numerous fashion shows at home and abroad. His show of his jewellery and Magdalena Arlukiewicz's fashion at Satisfahion Roma in July this year was just such a show.

Modern and surprising in form, Aleksander Gliwinski's necklaces, bracelets and rings, in which Baltic amber played the main role, were presented against the backdrop of the latest evening dress collection by Magdalena Arłukiewicz. They were dominated by black, which is the perfect background for the various colour shades of amber. The jewellery's colour contrasts, additionally emphasised by the use of silver, added elegance and prestige to the whole.

We give each other the space to present ourselves without compromising the collection as a whole, so that every detail creates added value. When jewellery is not dedicated to a fashion collection, you can see it immediately because it is simply not compatible," is how Aleksander Gliwinski explained the success of the duo's collaboration launched in 2011.

Their joint show - considered by Aleksander Gliwinski to be their best to date - was very well received by the Satisfahion Roma audience gathered at the Palazzo Ferrajoli villa.

In Italy, amber, especially in this modern version, is little known. So it was all the more surprising for the Italian public to see our joint collection," concluded the jewellery designer.
