silence becomes a choice, an escape from an excess of stimuli.
A space where you can finally hear yourself.
Silence can also be a tension, an understatement,
silence after loss.
The silence in a relationship - the one that soothes, but also the one that overwhelms.
Jewellery, as an intimate and personal form, can become a place where these meanings meet. We invite artistic jewellery makers to interpret this theme in the matter of jewellery - personal, symbolic, experimental - encourage the exhibition curators Jolanta Gazda and Weronika Majewska.
Who can take part in the competition?
The competition is open to all interested parties. There are no material or technical restrictions in the rules. All works must be new and not previously presented. They must be submitted to the organiser by the end of January 2026. The works will be assessed by a jury (the composition of which will be announced by 15 January 2026), which will qualify the works and award prizes and distinctions, guided by the following criteria: original interpretation of the competition theme, innovation, correctness of execution.
Announcement of results and presentation of awards
The opening of the post-competition exhibition, during which the results will be announced and prizes awarded, will take place at the Amber Museum in Gdańsk on 23.03.2026 during the AMBERIF Spring International Fair of Amber and Jewellery. The organiser of the fair - the International Trade Fair Centre - is also the main partner of the competition and the founder of one of the prizes: a stand at the AMBERIF Spring 2027 fair. Other prizes founded by the organisers, partners and sponsors of the competition are: an STFZ statuette, an individual exhibition during the Legnica Silver Festival, a total of 1.5 kg of amber, 0.5 kg of silver, 1k black diamonds, PB Studio advertising, jewellery tools, a 500 PLN voucher in the Granit shop.
