The aim of the competition is to present the professional skills of goldsmiths and young goldsmith apprentices specializing in traditional and modern goldsmithing techniques, to support professional goldsmithing education and encourage professional development, as well as to create original designs made according to individual needs and to promote jewellery and goldsmithing items made using „Baltic Gold”.
Traditionally, the competition is held in two age categories: juniors (young goldsmiths aged up to 22 who are studying or starting their careers as goldsmiths) and seniors (individuals who are goldsmiths or amber artists, with confirmed professional qualifications). In this edition, participants competed on a common theme, which was „Amber Dreams – Jewellery.”.
The submitted works were assessed by a jury consisting of:

- Zbigniew Strzelczyk – National Chamber of Amber
- Monika Szpatowicz – curator of the AMBERIF fair
- Robert Zięba – Vice-President of the Board of the Association of Jewellery Appraisers
- Ewa Rachoń – Vice-President of the International Amber Association Board
- Andrzej Mikołajczyk – Deputy Chairman of the Jewellery Industry Commission of the PIR MSP
- Włodzimierz Luks – Secretary of the Goldsmithing and Jewellery Industry Commission of PIR MSP
