The Amber Ball is an exceptionally prestigious award granted annually during the International Amber, Jewellery and Fashion Jewellery Fair Amberif by three students of the Władysław Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź.

There is only one winner, and that is the creator (company or designer) of the most artistically interesting piece of jewellery or goldsmithing functional art among all those exhibited at the fair. This year, the student jury decided to award their prize to the company Art 7 for the jewellery set titled „String”. The prize – an Amber Ball and a diploma – was collected by the company owner Wojciech Kalandyk and designer Maciej Rozenberg.

The Amber Ball is a plexiglass statuette designed by Professor Andrzej Szadkowski (Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź) with the inscription „Award of the Students of the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź for the Best Work at the AMBERIF Fair” featuring a 40 mm diameter amber ball positioned between plexiglass planes.
The aim of the competition is to activate students' sensitivity to the aesthetic and functional assessments of works exhibited at the Amberif trade fair in Gdańsk, and to create an opportunity to identify innovative artistic solutions for jewellery that are attractive in terms of design, production, and sales, and to award one of them.
