Unlike other gemstones, it is unique, heterogeneous – and thus exceptional. I believe that is precisely how we should approach its use, as well as decorative and jewellery art. We should approach amber in a non-conventional way, because it is unique. It cannot be tamed. The raw material itself should first be the starting point for a design. Seeing amber, I thought it was a stone different from my aesthetic. And now it delights me.
