Kolekcja bursztynu w Muzeum Zamkowym w Malborku
Wyroby z bursztynu zaczęto gromadzić w malborskim zamku wkrótce po powstaniu tu muzeum (1961), a stałą wystawę "Dzieje bursztynu" otwarto cztery lata później, w lipcu 1965 roku. Pomysł był nowatorski i ambitny, tym bardziej, że dostępnymi wówczas na rynku obiektami były głównie wyroby masowe z Wytwórni Wyrobów Bursztynowych w Gdańsku-Wrzeszczu i drobne wyroby pamiątkarskie sprzedawane…
Museum of Inclusion in Amber
Muzeum Inkluzji w Bursztynie na Uniwersytecie Gdańskim istnieje od czerwca 1998 roku jako pracownia w Katedrze Zoologii Bezkręgowców. Powstało ono z inicjatywy jej obecnego kierownika prof. dr. hab. Ryszarda Szadziewskiego, który przekazał do nowopowstałej placówki prywatną kolekcję bursztynu z inkluzjami.
