Currently, fashion trends demand large, eye-catching jewellery, ideally with the glint of gold and, of course, wallet-friendly. In times when precious metals like gold and silver reach astronomical prices, can the tastes of demanding and fashion-conscious customers be satisfied? Jacek Szczepański proves that it is possible. His patented solution for combining all these elements is openwork jewellery made from dyed brass. The designer has primarily focused on striking reds, deep greens, and elegant shades of grey – it's hard to go unnoticed in such jewellery.
Bracelets, rings and earrings from Jack Szczepanski's brass collection impress not only with their colour but also with their geometric shapes, mainly floral and spiral. „Geometric inspirations and simple forms are timeless, which is why they always work. You just need to find your own way of interpreting them,” admits the designer.
The idea for this collection has been ripening for several months, and its realisation was achieved through numerous experiments with different materials. All in order to find the ideal material – the final choice fell upon brass. „It’s a grateful material, easily yielding to plastic processing,” says Jacek Szczepański. But in reality, for the designer, its modest price was of great importance, especially in comparison to silver and gold, which are currently very expensive. „Thanks to this, I can be inspired by fashion trends and offer what women desire most: elegant, visually attractive, and affordable jewellery,” he explains.
Jacek Szczepański has been designing and crafting jewellery since he was 17. He has always been interested in painting, sculpture and graphic design – these art forms are his inspiration and are reflected in his jewellery.
