„Amber is so fascinatingly beautiful that it is precious to me” – he once said in an interview for the Amber Portal amber.com.pl. For him, stones are the central element in jewelry, and they often determine the final shape of the ornament. „I have always been fascinated by the dialogue between the stone and the metal in which it is encased. And the contrast created by the use of different materials, which allows for harmony to be achieved. That is perhaps the essence of jewelry” – he explained.

According to the artist, a fascinating stone with an interesting finish that emphasizes its beauty is essential to achieve the harmony of jewelry. Amber also provided the necessary achievement of this goal – it was transparent and properly polished, serving as a lens that was intended not only to attract attention but also to focus it on the hidden interior beneath it. Amber lenses usually emphasized the selected elements of the ornate surface of the given ornament, but they were also often attractive in themselves, concealing the natural inclusions characteristic of transparent beads that were artistically enhanced by additional decorative elements.
This kind of treatment of amber perfectly fits the concept of jewelry created by the author: „Jewelry is primarily a concept, an idea. If the concept has to be subordinated to the material, it is still animated by it. Through the combination of metals and precious stones with unconventional materials, unique pieces are created that make this uniqueness practical.”.
His unique approach to amber resulted in numerous unique, top-quality and valuable jewelry creations in which – in a characteristic way that consists solely in his sense of aesthetics of freedom in combining colors and shapes with noble materials considered common but beautiful for him in various respects – he attributed the fossilized resin a central place in jewelry.
Of the numerous amber works created by his Atelier Zobel or designed for Annick Schmuckdesign, three can be seen at the Amber Museum in Gdańsk. The brochure and bracelet were purchased by the museum; the ring is a gift from the author given in 2013.
