The inspiration for the Four Seasons of Sleep collection was the ethereal figure of Dagny Przybyszewska, a muse to artists of the turn of the century, a femme fatale from 100 years ago, and the paintings of Alfons Mucha.
Julia Tusz & Łukasz Baranowski They have been creating jewellery for several years. They have always been lovers of beauty in all its forms. Two elements that have combined their passions in a small, yet magical, workshop in Iława. In their work, we observe a fusion of passing time with that which is about to be born. Seekers of perfect forms for a woman who is both bold and delicate.
Magdalena Arłukiewicz: Historian and fashion designer. She is completing her doctorate at the University of Gdańsk on Gdańsk fashion in the 16th–18th centuries. She is interested in history, anthropology, politics, and music. She tries to break the stereotype of common street fashion – she is an advocate for non-standard solutions. In her opinion, clothing should have an effect like sculpture. In her designs, she strives to cross genre boundaries between fashion and art.
The inspiration for the collection Four Seasons of Sleep the ethereal character of Dagny Przybyszewska, a Norwegian muse of fin-de-siècle artists, a femme fatale from 100 years ago, and the painting of Alfons Mucha. The materials used for the costumes are silk, silk chiffon, felt and tulle. The jewellery, which strongly emphasizes Art Nouveau motifs, is made of silver, brass, copper and fabrics with amber and semi-precious stones. The show will feature makeup in the French style of the second half of the 18th century.
