The altar was designed by Professor Stanisław Radwański and Mariusz Drapikowski. In addition to the altar, visitors can also see other contemporary sacred works of art made of amber, including a monstrance, chalices, ciboria, and other sacred vessels. The entire collection is a kind of votive offering by the Gdańsk amber artisans, made, among other things, for Poles regaining their freedom after the events of 1980 and 1989.
