Barbara Kosmowska-Ceranowicz passed away
It is with deep sadness that we bid farewell to Prof. Barbara Kosmowska-Ceranowicz, an outstanding amber researcher, who died on 31 January 2026, having lived to the age of 95. Her name became permanently inscribed in the history of amber research and in the history of the Polish and international amber community.

On August 15th of this year, Jacek Baron passed away – one of the most creative, talented, and hardworking jewellery designers. Although he worked with various gemstones during his goldsmithing career, he loved amber the most.

Janusz Wosik – in memoriam
More than 30 exhibits will be on display at the Amber Museum in Gdańsk for the first solo exhibition of Janusz Wosik, a little-known but highly regarded jewellery maker. The exhibition is exceptional and certainly unique, as many of the exhibits come from private individuals. This may be the only opportunity to discover his artistic achievements.
