For more than two years they have been creating jewellery together - each in their own style, but both with a passion that attracts like a magnet. Małgorzata's designs, a sculptor by training, are small sculptural forms combining antique inspirations, precious materials and refined techniques. Anna, on the other hand, has fallen in love with enamel, art déco and floral inspirations. These prompt her shapes, which are then transformed into delicate, harmonious forms. Together, they create jewellery with a soul. And, more recently, a place where this soul can be felt from the threshold.

Imperial blue furniture and golden wood

The idea of opening their own gallery in the fashion and jewellery district around Mokotowska Street came about very spontaneously. They spotted a vacant space at 16 Wilcza Street, formerly occupied by a funeral parlour - perhaps there is no clearer symbol of a new opening... The day they won the tender for it, they bought two red armchairs - today they stand in the gallery's place of honour, surrounded by beautiful antique furniture. It is now a place that teems with art and good energy.

Years of friendship and sharing a studio have also worked their magic - resulting in a shared and, above all, coherent concept for the creation of the gallery. It is full of crazy ideas, such as the furniture in imperial blue (apparently, tours came to the manufacturer to see furniture in a colour other than the universal one) or the golden tree that „grew” in the middle.

These are ginkgo leaves. Painted laboriously by us and assembled over many long hours of the night. It paid off - it looks magical and makes an impression on everyone who enters: it draws the eye, provokes questions, enhances the aura of magic and uniqueness of the place," they conclude.

A magical place

A golden tree, glittering stars on the ceiling, scented candles and exotic perfumes from a Polish manufactory emphasise the character of a place that was intended to be magical - both in the sense of magic and astrology, as well as passing on knowledge that is not generally available. But the most important thing here, of course, is the jewellery - „magical” in form and thanks to the selected stones (after all, each stone, whether precious or not, has certain properties ascribed to it). Tourmaline cleanses the body and mind, helps to bring order to chaotic thoughts and strengthens concentration, while rock crystal restores the balance between body and mind. Amber, on the other hand, is a symbol of the sun, life energy and happiness.

Who wouldn't want to have a piece of jewellery with „their” stone? One created just for them? It seems that today, more than ever, we want personalised jewellery - not with an additional bead from a well-known brand, but one that was made just for us and speaks about us. Imago Jewelry was created to make dreams of „tailor-made” jewellery come true, the designers emphasise.

This will be done in an absolutely professional manner, i.e. in cooperation with an astrologer or numerologist, who will create a personal amulet - in accordance with the energy of the person wearing it.

Gallery with a mission

Anna and Małgorzata will also be making their dream come true - of a gallery with space for meetings with leading Polish jewellery artists.

Today, there are few galleries left in Warsaw dedicated to quality artistic jewellery. Polish creators are highly valued abroad, but unfortunately completely unknown in Poland. We would like to change this - by showing their best designs in our gallery and explaining why such jewellery is of greater value than that of artificially created fashion brands. Because behind it is a name, emotions, education, experience, handwork, uniqueness, timelessness and many other qualities that make it unique," they explain.

The gallery will soon offer a collection of jewellery designed especially for Imago Jewelry by designer Tomasz Ogrodowski - winner of many international goldsmithing competitions, an undisputed authority on 3D technology. A monthly series of exhibitions will be inaugurated as early as 14 January - it will be opened by Romana Bielecka - an artist who creates unique jewellery from porcelain, remaining on the borderline between contemporary art and original design. In February, an exhibition is planned Paweł Kaczyński - artist, whose trademark are sculptural jewellery forms in silver and stainless steel mesh, distinguished by their unusual lightness. In March, the gallery invites you to an exhibition of works by Weronika Majewska, whose jewellery reflects simplicity, minimalism and geometry. The following months will bring meetings with other artists worth getting to know, as well as monthly themed lectures - starting in January with „Astrology and Gemmology”.

Jewellery education, i.e. dispelling myths that have grown up around jewellery, is also part of this thinking about jewellery.

Good marketing and catchy slogans will sell anything these days. Unfortunately, these lies, crafted to sell, do more harm than good in the long term. And this is what we will try to change," they declare and invite to the Imago Jewelry blog, where an educational campaign will soon be launched.

A place unlike any other

It is very rare to be such a unity in its diversity. And so versatile - Anna and Margaret not only created the jewellery that is offered in the gallery, but also devised the concept of the gallery themselves, including the furniture, and partly realised it themselves. The result is a magical place - completely different from most jewellery galleries. Unique not only for them, but also for those who visit them. This uniqueness, refinement in every detail, can be felt at every step. Imago Jewelry Gallery is a place that convinces with its authenticity.

Imago Jewelry Gallery
Wilcza 16, Warsaw

There are places where you enter and immediately feel that something special is happening.
