Following the premiere presentation of the works and the announcement of the results of this year's competition during Amberif 2025, the Gdansk public is being given a unique opportunity to once again - or for the first time - see up close the artistry of Polish master goldsmiths and young adepts of the jewellery art. From 15 October to 30 November 2025, the Amber Museum Shop will once again be transformed into an intimate exhibition hall, which will showcase both the awarded works and others entered in this year's 22nd edition of the Karol Kowalski National Goldsmiths' and Jewellers' Competition, organised by the Goldsmiths' and Jewellers' Branch Committee at the Pomeranian Chamber of Small and Medium Enterprises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A craft that endures in spite of time<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u201eAmber Craft\u201d is not only a review of contemporary artistic jewellery - it is above all a story about the passion for creation, respect for the material and the extraordinary tradition of Polish jewellery making. The exhibition reminds us that jewellery craftsmanship is a profession that requires not only technical skills, but also sensitivity, patience and imagination. At a time when mass production dominates the jewellery market, the works presented in the exhibition are a counterbalance to anonymity and repetitiveness - each piece has been handmade, with attention to detail, in a single copy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The authors of the works use classical goldsmithing techniques, combining them with new material solutions and forms of artistic expression. Amber - a symbol of Polish cultural heritage and the natural treasure of the Baltic Sea - is not only a decoration in these works, but also a carrier of emotions and ideas. The works delight with their form, subtlety and diversity of interpretation - from classic elegance to modern experiments with matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A new generation of creators<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition includes works by both master craftsmen and young artists - students of the Jacek Malczewski State Secondary Schools of Fine Arts in Cz\u0119stochowa and the J\u00f3zef Pankiewicz School in Katowice. Their designs prove that tradition does not lose its relevance and the art of jewellery continues to inspire successive generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to initiatives such as the \u201eAmber Craft\u201d, young artists have the opportunity to present their skills and dialogue with experienced artists, which fosters the development of the entire jewellery community in Poland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
