On the catwalk, we saw original creations with distinctive postulate prints, elements of shipyard workwear, and \u201eglamour version\u201d accessories - from helmets and welding gloves to flannel shirts. Each detail carried a symbolic meaning, recalling the strength of the community and the spirit of freedom that changed the fate of Poland and Europe.<\/p>\n

From Amberif to ECS - a new edition of \u201ePostulates\u201d<\/h2>\n

This is the second edition of this show. For the first time, the \u201ePostulates\u201d collection by Jola S\u0142oma and Mirek Trymbulak, in collaboration with jewellery designer Danka Czapnik, was presented during the AMBER LOOK 2015 fashion show as part of the Amberif International Amber Fair in Gda\u0144sk. The current version of the collection is slightly altered - the jewellery of the late Danka Czapnik has been replaced by jewellery by Soul Bijou, created in collaboration with the Venetian atelier La Bottega dei Mascareri. The silver ornaments decorated with Baltic amber and Venetian masks relate in form to the original orders from the first collection - a symbolic tribute to the heroes of the time.<\/p>\n

The collection was created as a tribute to Solidarity and the power of the free spirit to bring hope and a message of equality. It is our expression of respect for the courage and determination of the people who changed the course of Polish and European history,\" stressed Mirek Trymbulak.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Mask from Venice and gift to ECS<\/h2>\n

The screening was preceded by a unique event - the donation to the ECS collection of a Venetian mask made by brothers Sergio and Massimo Boldrin, master craftsmen from Venice. Inspired by the history of Solidarity and following news reports from Poland in the 1980s, they created the piece and presented it as a gift to Jola and Mirek. The designers, aware of the uniqueness of this gift, decided that the mask should go to the ECS.<\/p>\n

\n

It is an item with such a message and so straight from the heart that we could not keep it just for ourselves,\" explained Mirek Trymbulak.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The \u201ePostulates\u201d collection itself will also go into the ECS collection. It is a gift from Jola S\u0142oma and Mirek Trymbulak, who are also the founders of the La Via dell'Ambra foundation. It works for cultural cooperation between Gdansk and Venice.<\/p>\n

La Via dell'Ambra - the bridge between Gdansk and Venice<\/h2>\n

Established in July 2025, La Via dell'Ambra Foundation promotes culture, art, fashion and amber, supporting international artistic exchange between Poland and Italy. These objectives will be pursued through exhibitions, fashion shows, workshops, residencies, publications, collaborations with institutions and artisans, as well as educational activities supporting equality, intercultural dialogue and access to art for all social groups. The upcoming jewellery and fashion collection shows are scheduled for Venice Design Week and Venice Fashion Week this October.<\/p>\n

We are from Gdansk, but we are drawn to Venice. That is why we want to connect these two cities and these two cultures. They are connected not only by amber - through the Amber Route. We have Italy in our anthem, and the Italians have Poland in their anthem. Gda\u0144sk was also partly built on stilts. A show of fashion, art and freedom - this is how one can sum up the event that took place at the European Solidarity Centre in Gda\u0144sk. Jola S\u0142oma and Mirek Trymbulak presented there the \u201ePostulates\u201d collection, inspired by the 21 postulates of August 1980.
