At stand B1.739, in the prestigious section of the Frame<\/em> and in the neighbourhood of several jewellery galleries from, among others, the Netherlands, Germany, South Korea, China and South Africa, the Legnica Art Gallery will present nearly 30 objects from its International Collection of Contemporary Goldsmithing Art. It currently comprises nearly 500 works by artists from all over the world - participants of the past editions of the Legnica SILVER Festival and the International Goldsmithing Art Competitions. Among the authors whose works have been selected for the exhibition are. Robert Baines, David Bielander, Alexander Blank, Eunmi Chun, Trinidad Contreras, Georg Dobler, Eva Fernandez Martos, Karl Fritsch, Tamara Gr\u00fcner, Herman Hermsen, Nils Hint, Aya Iwata, Tadeusz Jaskowiak, Pawe\u0142 Kaczy\u0144ski, Jiro Kamata, Eszter S\u00e1ra Kocsor, Mariko Kusumoto, Otto K\u00fcnzli, Peter Machata, Jorge Manilla, Ted Noten, Timothy Information Limited, Felieke van der Leest, Ruudt Peters, Tabea Reulecke, Youjin Um and Anna Maria Zanella.<\/p>\n

The presence of Polish designers at the Munich fair - so far incidental - this time will resonate at the exhibition Unnecessary Jewellery<\/em>, organised by acclaimed Polish designers S\u0142awomir Fija\u0142kowski and Arek Wolski. In addition to the works of the curators, the exhibition will also feature works by Eva Fernandez Martos, Jacek Byczewski, Pawe\u0142 Kaczy\u0144ski, Peter Machata, Marcin Bogus\u0142aw, Jaros\u0142aw Westermark, Aya Iwata, Ma\u0142gorzata Kalinska, Adriana Lisowska, Eszter S\u00e0ra Kocsor, Bogumi\u0142 Bytomski, Bartosz Chmielewski, Eero Hintsanen, Jolanta Gazda, Martyna Goli\u0144ska and Nanna Melland.<\/p>\n

In Munich, we will present - also in a commercial version - the best selection of unique jewellery by recognised Polish authors as well as debutants, complemented by works by artists from Japan, Norway, Slovakia, Estonia, Hungary and Spain. It is hoped that the careful selection of objects designed, not just made, will draw the attention of an international audience and allow innovative design to be noticeably highlighted, the curators explain.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The Munich Jewellery Week with its central event, the International Crafts Fair (Internationale Handwerksmesse), is the most important event in the calendar of art jewellery lovers, which annually attracts artists, specialists and jewellery collectors from countries in Europe and Asia as well as the United States to the Bavarian capital. The event from 12 to 16 March in Munich will feature more than 100 jewellery exhibitions located in art galleries, museums and artists' studios, including the iconic Schmuck and Talente competition shows, setting new directions and trends in this field of art.<\/p>\n
