There is a widespread opinion that the task of art is to break the rules, to transgress conventions, aesthetics and ultimately to change habits (one's own - the author's and the audience's). But is this always a necessary condition? What price must be paid for this? In the field of art, does breaking through always mean going against the tide? Is it an expression of rebellion or rather a step out of one's comfort zone? At what point does an artist in search of a new language in art set limits and slow down (or compromise)?<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The PREZENTACJE artistic competition is a review of the creative achievements of artists who - using jewellery as an artistic means of expression - wish to express their views and share their reflections, as well as surprise with a creative approach to a theme proposed by the competition organiser. It is open to all interested - individual artists and companies - who, by the deadline of 30 January, will submit a work (or works - the regulations allow a maximum of 2 pieces \/ sets) to the curator, Zuzanna Liskowacka, a member of the STFZ Programme Council. The works should function as jewellery, the dimensions of which do not exceed 30 x 30 x 30 cm and, importantly, must be new and not previously presented anywhere. The organisers place no restrictions on the use of materials.<\/p>\n

In assessing the entries, the jury will take into account first and foremost an interesting, original interpretation of the competition theme, as well as the novelty and technical correctness of the entries. The organiser will announce the composition of the jury by 15 January. The winners will be announced during the AMBERIF International Fair of Amber and Jewellery at an opening ceremony in the Amber Museum in Gda\u0144sk, where the post-competition exhibition will be presented.<\/p>\n
