Traditionally, during the spring edition of the Fair, the results of the 27th edition of the International Competition for the Design of Jewellery with Amber AMBERIF DESIGN AWARD will be announced, whose theme is Symbol of hope<\/a>. The competition is addressed to designers and creators of artistic jewellery from all over the world and promotes creative explorations within the field of artistic jewellery and creative expressions on a chosen theme inspired by currently discussed issues. The jurors qualifying artists for the exhibition and awarding the prizes are authorities on the goldsmithing scene - artists, art historians, art critics, art college lecturers, curators, gallerists. This year, the jury will include Carina Shoshtary from Munich (Germany), Katharina Kielmann from Vienna (Austria), Anders Ljunberg from Stockholm (Sweden) and Sergiusz Kuchczynski from Lodz (Poland). Project submissions are being accepted until 1 February 2024.<\/p>\n
Another competition - the Jewellery Competition AMBERIF SELECTION<\/a> - selects the best product presented by trade fair exhibitors, rewarding innovative design and the high artistry of the creator. The awarded works become part of the global advertising campaign for the next edition of the fair. In 2024, these are the works Dariusz Zara\u0144ski<\/a>,which was awarded the Prize of the Minister of Development and Technology, and Ark Wolski<\/a>, winner of the Award of the President of the International Gdansk Trade Fair SA. After a hiatus of several years, the Association of Goldsmiths will be organising the next edition of the PREZENTACJE National Competition for Artistic Jewellery with the theme \u201eModeration\u201d<\/a>. Using the medium of jewellery, the artists will answer the question of what is of value in today's world: the materials used, the message, the intentions, the relationships or perhaps the emotions attached to the work. The announcement of the winners of the competition and the presentation of prizes will take place on the first day of the fair.<\/p>\n In addition to the post-competition exhibitions, visitors to the fair will also be able to see an exhibition of works by Andrzej Jacyszyn and Wojciech Ryga\u0142a. \u201c...and in the heart still May\u201d.\u201d<\/a>. It is a presentation of the works of two goldsmiths, friends who have been brought together by their common passions, including the greatest of all - goldsmithing. Experts in the subject - university lecturers and researchers - take a closer look at issues such as the origin of amber, properties, inclusions, artistic embodiments, design and amber in contemporary art.<\/p>\n The framework programme for the next edition of the Fair promises to be extremely rich. This has also been taken care of by the Amber Museum in Gda\u0144sk, which has traditionally prepared events accompanying the Fair. Traditionally, the National Goldsmiths' and Jewellers' Competition will also be held during the fair. Amber Craft 2024<\/a>, which is organised by the Goldsmiths' and Jewellers' Branch Committee of the Pomeranian Chamber of Crafts of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises. The aim of the competition is to present the professional skills of goldsmiths and young adepts of goldsmithery specialising in traditional and modern goldsmithing techniques. The fair is usually also an opportunity to listen to lectures on interesting and, above all, inspiring topics. One of these will be the use of digital tools in the jewellery industry, presented by Aneta B\u0142aszczak, known from \u201eBliss from Paris\u201d. A timely topic is also selling on Amazon and the possibilities of being present on European sales sites - a lecture on this topic will be given by Damian Wiszowaty, CEO of Gonito. After the training, interested parties will be able to take part in consultations with specialists.<\/p>\n
