They awarded the following statutory prizes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Grand Prize <\/strong>\u2013 Grand Prix of the Minister of Culture, National Heritage and Sport for Tadeusz Ja\u015bkowiak, whose pendant entitled. <em>Cracked smartphone<\/em> combined stone age techniques and the new media era in a formal layer. According to S\u0142awomir Fija\u0142kowski, the work is very strong in the context of the theme, which has unexpectedly gained additional significance:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201eWhen it was announced, we were still before the pandemic and no one could have guessed what challenges we would be facing for two years. It's an extraordinary undertaking on many levels and in various oppositions: digital\/material, old\/new, functional\/contemplative.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/amber.com.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/news\/3438_2-c01.jpg\" alt=\"3438 2\" class=\"wp-image-18800\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Second Prize \u2013 President of the City of Legnica to Mariana Bilbao Gonzalez-Due\u0144as from Spain for the brooch titled Forget your name<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/amber.com.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/news\/3438_3-fd7.jpg\" alt=\"3438 3\" class=\"wp-image-18801\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Third Prize<\/strong> \u2013 Minister of Culture, National Heritage and Sport for Miroslava Vesel\u00e1 from the Czech Republic for the work titled. <em>Hope<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><br><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Art Gallery Prize<\/strong> for Kirsten Plank from Germany for the work entitled. <em>Face 1<\/em> \u2013 puzzle necklace<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Silver Spur<\/strong> Special Award from the Organisers for creative courage and uncompromisingness, innovation or wit in creative expression, for Tieke Sheerlink from Belgium for a work depicting a jewellery image of a boat full of refugees with a poignant title <em>Fine people<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201eThe theme of the competition inspired a wide range of responses. Those that made it into the exhibition were considered \u2013 some full of anxiety about the future, others asking questions, and yet others showing a fascination with materials and how they are used, and how through the use of specific materials quite complex ideas can be conveyed,\u201d summarised the jury chair, Caroline Broadhead.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Non-statutory awards were received by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Esther Heite from Germany \u2013 recognition from Lost in Jewellery magazine<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Annarita Bianco from Italy \u2013 distinction at the Roman gallery Mydaybyday<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tieke Sheerlinck from Belgium \u2013 Foundry Services award<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Alexander Blank from Germany \u2013 Honourable Mention from the Director of the Art Gallery in Legnica<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ruudt Peters from the Netherlands \u2013 distinction from the Association of Goldsmiths<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Silvia Bellia from Italy \u2013 award from the International Amber Association<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ji Young Kim \u2013 award from the Inhorgenta Munich trade fair<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Michalina Owczarek-Siwak \u2013 Hopea Company Award<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/amber.com.pl\/en\/how-much-emotion-can-be-contained-in-jewellery-a-conversation-with-malgorzata-kalinska\/\">Margaret Kali\u0144ska<\/a>\u00a0and Zofia and Witold Kozubscy \u2013 YES Gallery awards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201ePersonally, I liked the intellectual approach to the topic \u2018Still Human?\u2019, including the diverse reflections that found personal resonance in all the presented works. Conceptual solutions predominated, in my opinion. Applied art is no different from fine art. Visual arts seek their expression through various materials and techniques. In some works, the material itself became the content. Furthermore, all the works achieved a high international standard, promising us an exhibition that is interesting on many levels,\u201d said Georg Dobler.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>This year's competition was quite a challenge for the jury as well \u2013 for the first time in the Festival's over 40-year history, deliberations were held online, and the submitted entries were judged solely on the basis of photographs, films, and submitted ideologies. In this way, the jury members selected works from 44 artists from 16 countries for the post-competition exhibition \u2013 they can be viewed at the exhibition in the Art Gallery in Legnica until June 20th. Films are also available on the Festival website and social media \u2013 curatorial tours of the exhibitions with the artists, this year's catalogues in pdf version, and the results of a photo session with the artists' works presented as part of the Festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The organisers \u2013 the Art Gallery in Legnica \u2013 wish to thank all patrons, sponsors, and donors for their support. The main sponsor of the Festival is KGHM Polska Mied\u017a S.A., which every year provides silver granules for the winners, and in the current edition, donated as much as 5 kg of this valuable ore.
