Dedicated to exhibitors, this year's competition is not only to reward the best works showcasing the uniqueness of amber, traditional craftsmanship, perfect workmanship and original goldsmithing art, but will also involve strong and consistent promotion of the winners through the fair's global advertising campaigns. NAC Amber and CHILLI Ireneusz Glaza - it was their works that were recognised as the best among the 50 submitted for this year's competition. This was decided by a jury composed of Stanis\u0142aw Krzysztof Jacobson - jewellery expert, competition curator; Dariusz Latoszek - representative of the Ministry of Development; Anna Sado - editor of the amber.com.pl Amber Portal and Marcin Tymi\u0144ski<\/a> - jewellery designer, chairman of the jury. They awarded the following prizes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2013 GRAND PRIX of the Minister of Development for NAC Amber<\/strong> for the necklace \u201eNature is treasure\u201d made of gold-plated silver, Baltic amber and zirconia by Marcin Weso\u0142owski<\/p>\n\n\n\n The unique beauty of amber requires the perfect setting - precisely crafted and perfectly composed<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n - Award of the President of the International Gdansk Trade Fair to CHILLI for the \u201eDark Shadow\u201d pendant made of dark rhodium-plated silver, Baltic amber and zirconia by Ireneusz Glaza<\/p>\n\n\n\n Amber in a modern form - technically perfect, clean and contemporary<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n Distinctions in the DESIGN category went to Slawa Tch\u00f3rzewska<\/a> for the \u201eGalactic\u201d brooch made from glider construction fabrics, Baltic amber and silicone, and to ART7 for the \u201eSeven\u201d necklace by Wojciech Kalandyk made from Baltic amber, gold-plated silver, spinel and diamonds. In the Jewellery Championship category, they were awarded to S&A Jewellery Design for the \u201eTalisMen\u201d pendant made of Baltic amber, diamond and gold-plated silver by Piotr Frankowski \/S&A Design Studio\/ and A2 Jewellery for the \u201eFutura\u201d jewellery set by Ryszard W\u0119sierski made of white Baltic amber and gold. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The jury was pleased to emphasise that the level of this year's competition was very high, with many works standing out for both perfect workmanship and innovative design, which made it difficult to clearly distinguish between the \u201edesign\u201d and \u201ejewellery mastery\u201d categories. The jury also expressed the hope that this year's change in the competition's formula will also, in future editions, encourage participants to create works distinguished by their high quality of design and workmanship, which - in an effective and efficient manner - will contribute to the promotion of Baltic amber and of Gda\u0144sk - the World Capital of Amber all over the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The aim of the competition is to search for the best-designed and masterfully made products and to continuously inspire the authors to seek above-standard functional, technological and stylistic solutions.
