{"id":17897,"date":"2019-05-27T21:25:12","date_gmt":"2019-05-27T19:25:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp.amber.com.pl\/bursztyn-baltycki-na-biennale-sztuki-w-wenecji\/"},"modified":"2026-01-01T12:13:17","modified_gmt":"2026-01-01T11:13:17","slug":"baltic-amber-at-the-venice-art-biennale","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/amber.com.pl\/en\/aktualnosci\/bursztyn-baltycki-na-biennale-sztuki-w-wenecji\/","title":{"rendered":"Baltic amber at the Venice Art Biennale"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><\/strong>Following on from the success of the exhibition <a href=\"https:\/\/amber.com.pl\/en\/everything-you-want-to-know-about-amber-is-in-the-ecs\/\">\u201eBaltic amber - tradition and innovation\u201d.\u201d<\/a>, presented in 2015-2018 consecutively: at the EXPO World Exhibition in Milan, at the European Solidarity Centre in Gdansk, at the Inhorgenta fair in Munich, twice in Brussels - at the Tour &amp; Taxis exhibition centre and at the European Parliament, and again in Gdansk - at the Palowa Gallery, this time we propose its new edition under the name \u201eBALTIC AMBER - Legacy &amp; Modernity\u201d (\u201eBALTIC AMBER - Legacy &amp; Modernity\u201d). The exhibition will be inaugurated at the Spazio SV gallery in the heart of Venice, near San Marco already on 29 May 2019 and will be part of the programme accompanying the Venice Art Biennale - the most renowned exhibition of contemporary art in the world.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The exhibition formula includes an educational section on Baltic amber, structured into seven separate stories conveyed through carefully selected exhibits:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u201eKnowledge of amber\u201d presents natural amber specimens and inclusions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201eQuotations of Nature\u201d includes jewellery with natural forms, with minimal interference with the stone structure<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201eExclusive craftsmanship\u201d highlights the connection between the work of contemporary artists and craft traditions dating back to the 16th\/17th centuries<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201eContemporary Art\u201d presents an international selection of works by renowned gold artists<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201eInnovative design\u201d is the best example of Tricity companies that rely on design in their development strategies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201eFashion for Amber\u201d presents amber <em>haute couture<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201eGdansk - World Amber Capital\u201d is a selection of diplomatic gifts that Gdansk presents to VIPs visiting the city.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The artistic part of the exhibition will consist of a selection of around 80 objects by renowned jewellery designers, design studios and Tricity companies that focus their attention on Baltic amber.
