On 12th January, projects were selected for co-financing participation in domestic and international trade fairs under Priority Axis 1 \u201eSME Development and Innovation\u201d, Measure 1.1 \u201eMicro, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises\u201d of the Regional Operational Programme for the Pomorskie Voivodeship for 2007\u20132013. The beneficiaries also included amber industry companies.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sub-measure 1.1.1 Micro-enterprises<\/strong><\/p>\n

Projects that achieved a minimum of 60 % of the total score were recommended for funding in the first instance. The list of 61 applications created by the Expert Team (of which 5 received at least 60 %, and the rest below) was submitted by the Pomeranian Development Agency to the Board of the Pomeranian Voivodeship for consideration. Funding was awarded to the 5 companies that achieved the required number of points. However, taking into account the fact that the feasibility and strategic criteria do not reflect the specific nature of projects for fairs and exhibitions, the Board of the Pomeranian Voivodeship decided to lower the number of points guaranteeing the granting of funding for 18 projects that received over 50 % of the total score. Nevertheless, due to the limited budget allocated for this purpose, applicants who submitted more than 3 projects with a score above 50 % had to choose the most important ones in their opinion. Furthermore, the Board of the Pomeranian Voivodeship decided that the funding for these projects should come exclusively from European funds under the European Regional Development Fund. The total funding amount for the 23 projects selected for implementation is PLN 1,796,445.04.<\/p>\n

Sub-measure 1.1.2 Small and medium-sized enterprises<\/strong><\/p>\n

Here too, priority was given to projects that received over 60% of the total points. The Enterprise Development Agency submitted 64 applications to the West Pomeranian Voivodeship Board (6 applications had at least 60%, the rest below). Considering the fact that the feasibility and strategic criteria do not reflect the specific nature of projects for fairs and exhibitions, and that the budget allocated within the allocation is limited, the West Pomeranian Voivodeship Board selected 19 projects for implementation that received at least 55% of the total points at the evaluation stage. Furthermore, the West Pomeranian Voivodeship Board decided that the co-financing for these projects would come exclusively from European funds originating from the European Regional Development Fund. The total co-financing amount for the 19 projects selected for implementation is PLN 2,532,726.14.<\/p>\n

Funding for participation in trade fairs<\/strong><\/p>\n

Among the beneficiaries applying for funding to participate in domestic and foreign trade fairs, there were 11 companies from the amber industry (some companies submitted several projects). Most applications concerned financial support for participation in the Amberif International Fair of Amber, Jewellery and Gemstones, while foreign events mentioned included the Tucson Gem Show (USA), Mineralientage (Germany), Bijorhca and Mineral & Euro Gem (France). The maximum level of public funding for projects under the competition for micro and small enterprises is up to 60% of eligible expenditure, while for medium-sized enterprises it is up to 50%.<\/p>\n
